Let's start with this...
who are we?

We are a team of creatives that love supporting local musicians and aim to create change within the Los Angeles area, spearheaded by singer-songwriter Josalyn Santangelo. Our team has a total of 10+ years of event and music show booking experience in four major cities, and are looking forward to making our mark as the Snazzie Series in the Los Angeles music scene.

What does "snazzie" even mean?

We define snazzie a little differently than the similar, more commonly known word, snazzy. Sure, we may still be stylish & hip, but the word snazzie is more than that. It's about being caring, creative, brave & bold. If you're snazzie, you're passionate and want to make a difference, however you can.

Let us tell you about our past Snazzie events!

Our first showcase was at the beginning of 2024 at Durango Cantina in West Hollywood and was called January Blues. This event highlighted the importance of mental health and community, especially in the winter months, when a lot of us struggle the most with symptoms of mental illness. However, this show was lighthearted, with a blue theme that pertained to the outfits, the lights, and even the themed beverages attendees could buy! We had over fifty guests and were able to donate $120+ to NAMI LA (the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Los Angeles branch).
Our second event, Green Goddess, was April 26th at the historic Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. This show highlighted women in music and raised funds for Heal the Bay, an environmental charity positively impacting Los Angeles since 1985. Guests had the option to buy flower crowns and wear their best green outfits. 100+ people attended the show and we were invited back to Hotel Cafe for our next showcase, T
rue Colors. It was a pride-themed event that hosted amazing bands like the Pussyboys and Zoë Kilgren Band. This event hit home for us, as some of our Snazzie team are in the queer community and we know how important it is to have support and representation. We encouraged our audience to show up as their true selves - in their true colors - and they did.
The last show of 2024 was a Studio 54 showcase, taking place in early September. The vivacious Violette Rain and JOSALYN performed disco hits from the groovy golden era, and we even had our very first DJ performance from Eric B Thornton, also known as DJ EBT. It was an unforgettable night, and we were happy to raise $100+ for the American HIV Foundation.
Our most recent event, "With Love," was on February 15th and featured performances from WYO, Surrealisticmind, and The Heaven’s Crown at Hotel Cafe. The event included a Wish Wall where guests could write messages, as well as handmade bracelets to raise funds for the Wildfire Recovery Fund, which we raised $200 for.
